Humble Beginnings in 1978
Bethel Christian Academy was started in 1978 by the late Bishop Orlin Ray Fauss. BCA was started with the purpose of giving parents an option other than public schools. Bro. Fauss started BCA with the intentions of not only giving students a great education, but also a foundation in the Word of God, and a safe place to worship. It was his dream that it would bring a light to our community. Bethel Christian Academy has seen many graduate from its humble hallways and classrooms, and go on to be very successful not only in the secular arena, but also in ministry. We are so thankful that God has blessed BCA to keep its doors open for 31 years.
BCA was opened in 1978 on Aldine Westfield, and moved locations with Bethel Tabernacle to 1960 and 45 in 2005. In 2008 hurricane Ike hit the city of Houston, and caused damaged to the building that BCA called home. We were forced to close our doors due to the extensive damaged caused by Ike. For 8 years Bethel Tabernacle didn’t have a Christian school. Bethel Christian Academy reopened it’s doors in 2015 under the direction of Pastor D.L. Fauss, Rev. Shawn Everhart and Rev. Shelaine Everhart. We are on our third year since reopening, and we are looking forward to another 31 years of educating, building foundations, and bringing a light to our community!
